PDNETwork Series: Filmmaking in the English Classroom  

The workshop offers an overview for creating films. It provides KS1 and KS2 teachers with a rationale and practical strategies for using filmmaking to support innovation and maximise student learning. 

Event AA:   

A 3.5-hour session on 14 November 2026 (Sat)  

9:30 – 13:00 (registration starts at 9:00am) 

Event AB: 

A 3.5-hour session on 21 November 2026 (Sat)  

9:30 – 13:00 (registration starts at 9:00am) 

Note: Event AA and AB are identical workshops. One teacher can register with up to three students for only one of the events. 

FilmLab@CIS for Students and Teachers (co-organised by NET Section, EDB and CIS) 

This workshop will focus on making short films. It will be conducted by the CPG students at CIS. This session provides opportunities for participants to seek assistance from International Baccalaureate (IB) Film and Media students with different aspects of the filmmaking process (from idea generation, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and shot listing to filming and film editing). This will give students an opportunity to gain insights and expertise as well as to interact in English with IB students in Hong Kong.
