PDNETwork Series: Filmmaking in the English Classroom  

The workshop offers an overview for creating films. It provides KS1 and KS2 teachers with a rationale and practical strategies for using filmmaking to support innovation and maximise student learning. 

Event AA:   

A 3.5-hour session on 15 November 2025 (Sat)  

9:30 – 13:00 (registration starts at 9:00am) 

Event AB: 

A 3.5-hour session on 22 November 2025 (Sat)  

9:30 – 13:00 (registration starts at 9:00am) 

Note: Event AA and AB are identical workshops. 1 teacher can register at most 3 students and himself/herself for one of the events. 

FilmLab for Students and Teachers (co-organised by EDB and CIS) 

This workshop will focus on making short films. It will be conducted by CIS CPG students. This session provides opportunities for school teams to seek assistance from International Baccalaureate (IB) Film and Media students with different aspects of the filmmaking process (from idea generation, scriptwriting, storyboarding, shot listing and filming to the finishing touches of film editing). This will give students an opportunity to gain more filmmaking insights and expertise as well as to interact in English with Hong Kong IB students.

Filmit 2026 Acting Workshop for primary and secondary school students (co-organised by EDB and RTHK)
